Last updated: 2026-04-30. This privacy policy describes how My Bitwarden collects and uses information from visitors to my-bitwarden.com.
My Bitwarden does not operate any login form, does not collect Bitwarden master passwords or vault data, does not handle any credentials, and does not provide any authentication service. Any third-party site claiming to be "Bitwarden login" or collecting credentials through this domain is not operated by us — please report it to [email protected].
Standard web analytics for site improvement:
We use a standard analytics provider (Plausible / Google Analytics) and a CDN (Cloudflare) which both maintain their own privacy policies. Logs are aggregated; we don't profile individual visitors.
We use minimal cookies: site preference (light/dark theme if implemented), analytics session identifier (anonymous), and standard CDN cookies for performance. No advertising or tracking cookies for cross-site profiling.
The /go/?to=X redirect handler that we use to send users to official Bitwarden release sources is logged at the server-access-log level only — to identify popular destinations. The redirect itself sets Referrer-Policy: no-referrer so the destination site doesn't see that you came from my-bitwarden.com. We don't pass any user-identifying data through the redirect.
The site shows display ads from a third-party network. The ad network may set its own cookies for ad targeting; you can opt out via the network's preferences page (typically linked from each ad). We don't sell visitor data.
Our comparison pages (e.g. /vs/1password/, /vs/dashlane/) include affiliate links to alternative password managers. When you click through and sign up for a paid plan, we receive a small commission. These links are disclosed inline. The fact that we use affiliates does not affect our editorial conclusions — we recommend Bitwarden over alternatives in most cases despite Bitwarden having no affiliate program.
If you contact us via the address on the contact page, we retain the email exchange for as long as needed to respond. We don't add you to any mailing list (we don't run a mailing list).
You have the right to: (a) know what personal data we hold (essentially: server logs + email correspondence if you've contacted us), (b) request deletion, (c) opt out of analytics. Contact us via the email on the contact page for any of these.
We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the last update. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage briefly.
